iPhone 5: leaked back cover snaps

Images purportedly showing the back of the next-generation iPhone have surfaced online, seemingly corroborating reports that the next-gen Apple phone will be larger and accommodate a more expansive screen.
Published by 9 to 5 Mac, which took delivery of the snaps care of gadget repair dons iFixyouri, the photos reveal that the iPhone 5 will be a taller device than the current-gen model.

The extra height is likely to be to accommodate a more capacious display, apparently chiming with previous reports that the phone will swap the iPhone 4S’ 3.5-inch screen for a four-inch number.
Otherwise, it’s hard to make too much out from the photos, other than that it seems to feature a much smaller dock.
Rumoured to land in September or October, the iPhone 5 is also expected to feature a thinner 8mm frame and house a quad-core processor to bring the handset up to speed with the latest Android superphones.
However, speculation that Apple will swap Gorilla Glass for a more robust Liquidmetal construction has been dismissed by the alloy’s inventor.
